Summit Ski Area, Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, and Cooper Spur Ski Area have developed specific areas for sliding and snowplay and require that only their rental equipment be used on these slopes for safety reasons.
Snow Bunny, located 1 ½ miles east of the Timberline Road junction on Highway 26 is generally open Thanksgiving weekend and available every weekend and on school holidays. No personal sliding devices allowed. Unlimited day use and tubes for a fee.
Folks with their own disks, inner tubes or plastic sleds can use them on national forest lands (off ski and snowshoe trails or downhill slopes), but need to insure that they pick a safe area without obstacles and with adequate run out .
The Little John Snopark, 11 miles east of Government Camp on Hwy 35 has terrain frequently used for sliding. There is no charge to use this area and no services are provided.
